Mona Tahsini, LMFT (she/her)
Director of Wraparound Care
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Hello! I’m Mona. With over 20 years of experience working with youth and families, I am a leader in community-based behavioral health services, specializing in intensive wraparound support, in-home therapy, and crisis intervention. My career has been dedicated to meeting families where they are—literally and figuratively—and helping them build the skills they need to thrive in their daily lives, not just in a therapy room.
I started my clinical career providing Wraparound services, Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS), and Mobile Crisis interventions through community-based agencies. These formative experiences taught me that the most meaningful therapeutic work happens in the environments where families actually live—at home, at school, and in the community. In 2011, I joined Teen Therapy Center as an in-office therapist, where I quickly recognized a gap: teens and families often struggled to translate what we worked on in session into their day-to-day realities. In 2014, I founded and began directing Teen Therapy Center’s In-Home Coaching Program, creating a model that brought therapeutic support directly into homes and communities so that families could practice skills in real-time, in the moments that mattered most.
At Blue Wave Behavioral Health, I’m honored to serve as a founding Director of Wraparound Care, helping shape this innovative, real-world approach to behavioral health support from the ground up while providing clinical and programmatic leadership to our growing team of therapists. Drawing on two decades of experience providing care to youth and families navigating complex systems—including crisis intervention, trauma-informed therapy, and intensive community-based support—I bring a deep commitment to equity-driven, culturally responsive, and family-centered practice. I specialize in working with diverse youth and families—particularly those facing behavioral health crises, complex family dynamics, and situations where traditional office-based therapy isn’t enough. My training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Aggression Replacement Training (ART), and advanced behavior modification, combined with decades of hands-on experience in intensive community settings, informs my compassionate and practical approach.
I believe that every family has strengths worth building on. My role is to help identify those strengths, provide tools and strategies that work in real life, and walk alongside families through the hard moments. Whether I’m coaching parents and teens through challenging behavior at home, collaborating with community providers to create a coordinated care plan, or mentoring our clinical team, my goal is always the same: to help young people and their families feel supported, understood, and capable of creating meaningful change.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family and finding balance in the everyday moments that ground me. I’m continually inspired by the resilience of the families I work with, and I feel deeply honored to be part of their journeys.
